Dear Friend of the AJJ Scholarship Fund,
Just last week we received a letter from one of our recent beneficiaries: "Through your generosity and partnership we continue to meet the many needs of our community here in Hampton Bays during this pandemic. Your support is truly appreciated." While we welcome these gracious words, it is you, our supporters, who deserve the thanks. Because of your generosity, in just a few short months we were able to donate: ~$16,000 in scholarships to two students at Hampton Bays High School ~ $5,000 to the Hampton Bays Community Food Pantry ~$4,625 in PPE to local hospitals and doctors ~$1,000 in food supplies to the Hampton Bays Education Foundation ~$500 to Run for Unity We are proud of the work we accomplished in 2020 and hope to surpass this success in 2021. With your help we will. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances we will not be able to host the 19th Annual Golf Outing this fall as initially hoped. The Outing is an important fundraiser for us and one that we all look forward to. We missed this annual reunion of friends and family in June, and ultimately we will feel the loss of the proceeds that come from this event. So we are looking to you once again and hope that in lieu of attending the Outing, you will make a donation this September 11th in memory of Art Jones. Every dollar counts and no donation is too small. With a minimum $20 donation to commemorate what a doozie of a year 2020 has been, we will put your name in a raffle to win some terrific prizes. Our favorite is the Drinkworks Home Bar by Keurig which no doubt would be Art-approved! We have gift certificates to local restaurants, wine and liquor, hotel accommodations, and more. To be included in the raffle, please make your donation before 5pm on Friday, September 11th. Join us at 8pm Friday on Facebook Live where we will draw and announce the winners.
