We're Proud to Announce the Eugene Francolini Memorial Golf Initiative

Our long-time friend and supporter, Eugene Francolini, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on December 12, 2020. We were extremely saddened by this news as Eugene was also Art's beloved father-in-law.

The family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from so many. Time and again they were moved by stories of how Eugene impacted lives by his generosity and willingness to quietly help others. His remarkable passion for life and his endless thirst for knowledge and new experiences were admired by many. One of Eugene's many devotions was the game of golf. He took it seriously and was known to spend hours on the range both before and after a round. He could still shoot below his age even in his 80's! He was always up to date on the rules of the game and was a stickler for them. Southampton Golf Club Head Profressional, Greg Gauvin, said it best, "I truly respected Gene and will miss our many golf discussions and debates! He made me better at my job. I sincerely will miss him. One of the best." Gene's family has established the Eugene Francolini Memorial Golf Initiative to continue Eugene's legacy of supporting and giving back to the community he loved so much. The Initiative is intended to aid the Hampton Bays High School Golf Program and its athletes. It will fall under the auspices and direction of the AJJ Scholarship Fund and it will be a lasting legacy of Gene's charitable nature and his enduring passion for and dedication to the game he loved so much. Please join us in raising money for this initiative. We welcome you to share far and wide on social media or with anyone who would want to honor Gene.
